Movement has always been a constant in my life — a grounding force that keeps me
connected and balanced. During my years working as a physician assistant in Maryland, I
often felt cold, tense, and overwhelmed by the fast pace of the medical field. That’s when
hot yoga became my sanctuary — a space where I could breathe, move, and feel alive
again.

Eventually, I realized that the medical path wasn’t the right fit for me. Unsure of what
direction to take, I decided to follow my growing passion for yoga and enrolled in a
teacher training program. My initial goal was simply to deepen my personal practice — but
everything changed the day I taught my first class.

During our final teaching test, I discovered how much I loved guiding others through
movement. That moment sparked something deep within me: I knew I wanted to teach.
However, I also knew I wanted to do it on my own terms — teaching in corporate settings,
creating opportunities, and one day organizing yoga retreats. To make that happen, I needed
to start my own business.

At first, not everyone understood my decision. Leaving a stable and respected medical
career for an uncertain new path brought criticism and doubt, but I stayed focused on what
truly mattered: how teaching made me feel, and the impact it had on others.
I’ll never forget one student who came up to me after class, gave me a hug, and said it was
his first yoga class — and that it changed his life.
Moments like that are what keep my fire alive. They remind me why I teach and why I strive
to make yoga fun, beginner-friendly, and accessible for everyone.
Today, my dream is to continue creating joyful experiences, hosting retreats, and helping
others live their healthiest, happiest, and most balanced lives.

If you’re just starting your journey, hold your “why” close. There will be obstacles and
challenges along the way, but when you love what you do, it’s always worth it.
